Beds of Azeroth

When I first started playing WoW I always found it funny there were so many beds in the various buildings. Of course it made sense, but other than decoration they didn't do much. 

You can't click on them and sleep, like you can click on a chair and sit, but you can use the \sleep command to do the same thing. 

In those early WoW days I took a lot of pictures of Keila and Karrah doing just that, sleeping. 

Since I'm still the same goofy casual

player, I took a photo of Karrah sleeping in a bed in her garrison last night. 

Technically, I guess this is her actual bed until another one comes along.

Dusting off the keyboard

I pretty much skipped the last expansion. I bought it. I just never played.  

I'll blame life stuff. Good stuff, but it changes priorities nevertheless. 

Anyway, after seeing the Warcraft movie I logged in for the first time in many months. 

I have no idea what I'm doing, macros are broken, and my interface is a mess, but it felt like going home. 

After playing Keila for a while I logged into  Karrah, a character that has been literally dormant for seven years. I made her the benefit of the level 90 upgrade I never used, for the expansion I never played, and spent some time in the level 90 intro quests they make you do. 

It was fun. It was relaxing. 

I missed you Azeroth.

Hey, I'm back!

Many things have been happening in my life down south at the House of Mouse. I guess I should start a blog about that :)

Keila hibernating

In the meantime, as you can see my WoW blog has gone totally dormant. That's primarily because my WoW playing also went dormant. Life will do that to you. Rumor has it someone may have gotten married. What!!?

Ha, more on that later, maybe. I need to see if Keila has a good wedding dress for a photo :)

But, I'm actually excited about the new expansion, much more than the last one,  and the Night Elves look so cool. Keila is going to rock. So, I'll be playing again and posting my pointless touristy WoW posts. I know you have missed them, my blog counts tell me so.

In the meantime this Disney girl will leave you with this. A while back one of my favorite bands of all time, The Dollyrots, put out a Disney song. Combine two of my favorite things, pop punk and Disney, and you have a winner. Anyway, it was a part of their acoustic record that was a cool mash-up of fan ideas for songs. Since it wasn't an official album, it didn't get videos like the regular albums do, but someone made one for Anarchy and Disney.

It doesn't actually follow the song, but it's fun anyway, and I've known a few guys like that, so burn baby burn! Ha!

Enough of that, here's the video. Watch it and then go check out more cool Dollyrots stuff. Maybe they can perform at Blizzcon next year? :)

Once more Back to Blackrock

Haven't been in Blackrock since the expansion, so I used the mole machine and popped in. Not much has changed, which is a good thing.

Said Hello to my old friend Magmus.

Stopped to watch L90ETC. Glad to see they're still playing. I hope others stop in to watch. This is still the best dungeon in the game.

Stop the Madness

Apparently the Norwegian nut that killed all those people also played WoW.

I completely missed that story until my mom called me today to ask if I knew him.

What?

Seriously?

She didn't mean I was crazy or psycho, but she has no concept of the size of this game. She has no concept of different servers or realms, and even if I was on the same server as this idiot, the chance of any interaction was incredibly slim.

I had to convince her that people that play World of Warcraft aren't nuts, but sadly there are some nuts that play WoW.

Still, that fact that she asked was annoying. It's media driven. The media of course jump all over the WoW connection and try to tie it to the problems this idiot has.

After my mom called I vented on Twitter and then went to the WoW forums.

Dumb Horse

Since I was finished with dailies I thought I'd head over to Stratholme to see if I could get that dumb horse to drop. Since Cataclysm, Strat is stupidly easy. Not that it was hard before, but you did have to kind of pay attention.

Hello Angela, you look nice, can I have that horse now please?

It takes less than 10 minutes for a complete Strat run, so I ran the dumb thing over and over 'til I hit the limit.

Do I have that dumb horse yet?

No!

Meh.

Dear Angela, please give me that dumb horse.

Orange Bird

The exciting news today at the House of Mouse is the return of Orange Bird!

Wow, people are excited. This is pretty fun to watch.

If people are this excited today I can't wait 'til this fall. New Fantasyland will blow you away.

Hunger Games

I finally got to see the Hunger Games tonight. Not quite up to the level of the book, but I loved it anyway, and I think Jennifer Lawrence rocked it as Katniss.

I was flying around aimlessly the other day which is one of my strange playing habits.

All of the sudden I was at the Orgrimmar back gate, but not the Orgrimmar back gate I remember. I clearly hadn't played my horde hunter very much, because this part of the new Orgrimmar was new to me.

Of course I had to fly in and explore it. I guess I expected more of a reaction, after all isn't Org the Stormwind equivalent for the Horde?

Even after I dispatched three wing riders I got little interest. Nobody other than a level 20 Belf showed up.

Silly Horde.

I hate the fact that WoW no longer has elite mobs during normal questing. Well, they do, but they always give you help. Some type of special power or something. Normally I hate that, but I love this little team they give you for one of the Hyjal dailies.

I almost, but not quite, forgive Blizzard for getting rid of all the REAL elites.
